Product Owner – Billing Squad

International travel-tech platform. The team is developing a key financial domain: auto-invoicing, payments, data reconciliation, VAT, and revenue recognition for business scaling.

Essence of the role: Full product ownership of the financial domain. We are looking for a PO who will become a bridge between Finance, Ops, and Engineering, transforming regulatory and business requirements into reliable solutions.

Format: Hybrid (Rotterdam, Netherlands).

Tasks:

• Enthusiastically manage the Billing domain from start to finish: vision, backlog prioritization, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Work with Finance, Legal, and Compliance to adhere to accounting standards and tax rules of various countries.
• Develop payment systems supporting multi-currency, taxes, and external acquirers/ERPs.
• Automate manual processes: reconciliation, handling returns, disputed payments, and reducing DSO.
• Track key billing health metrics (failed payments, reconciliation rate) and make data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner / Product Manager in FinTech, Billing, Payments, or SaaS products.
• Understanding of accounting principles (revenue recognition), VAT/GST, and cross-border taxation.
• Experience in writing user stories, accepting tasks, and working with Agile.
• Practical experience with integrations with payment gateways, acquiring banks, or ERP/accounting systems.
• English B2 level (confident presentations and communication with stakeholders).
