Position Purpose
Design, develop, and maintain web applications, including B2C portals, client portals, other internal portals, B2B APIs, middleware APIs, and digital service platforms for insurance business.
Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and high-performance web applications using React.js for the frontend and Node.js or Java Spring Boot for backend APIs, connecting to Oracle or other databases.
- Design and maintain integration layers between web portals and systems (TCS BaNCS, CRM, Oracle Fusion, Data Lake).
- Create and optimize database schemas and queries (Oracle is primary; SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL are secondary).
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Support existing web portals, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely fixes/enhancements.
- Implement secure coding practices and adhere to IT security and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to translate designs into functional code.
- Maintain proper version control (Git) and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on full-stack development experience.
- Proficiency in React.js, Node.js, Express.js, Java Spring Boot, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript. Python knowledge is a plus.
- Extensive experience with databases (Oracle and other DBs like SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
- Good knowledge and experience with RESTful APIs, authentication, documentation, and third-party service integration.
- Familiarity with Docker, K8s, AWS Cloud, Oracle Cloud (a plus).
- Experience working in Agile projects is a plus.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English (B2 level or higher).
