Senior SDET/QA Automation Engineer (Fintech)

Senior SDET/QA Automation Engineer. We are strengthening quality in the Lava Payments stream — the payment core. We are looking for an SDET who masters testing as an engineering discipline: builds autotests, maintains quality gates in CI/CD, and is responsible for the reliability of payment scenarios where the cost of error is real money.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain autotests (API, integration, end-to-end) for payment flows
• Contract testing of integrations with providers: acquiring, payouts, webhooks
• Integrating quality gates into CI/CD: pass and coverage thresholds, release blocking on regressions
• Test design of payment scenarios: idempotency, retries, TTL and timeouts, status consistency
• Load and fault-tolerant testing of critical paths
• Developing test infrastructure and quality culture within the team

Requirements

• Proficient coding in one of: Java / Kotlin / TypeScript
• Autotests and CI/CD: GitLab CI / GitHub Actions / Jenkins
• API testing: REST, webhooks, working with contracts
• Testing distributed systems: queues, asynchronous operations, data consistency

Will be a plus

• Experience testing payment / fintech systems
• Performance testing: k6, Gatling, Locust
• Basic security testing, familiarity with PCI DSS practices
• Containerization (Docker / K8s) for managed test environments
