We are looking for an experienced engineer to develop and support integration solutions in the Big Data team. If you know how to design ETL processes, know Java/Groovy, and want to work with complex BigData architectures – this position is for you.
🛠 What you will do
Development and Integration:
- Independent development, implementation, and support of integration solutions using the team's stack (Java, Groovy, Apache NiFi, Airflow).
- Design, development, and support of integration solutions within the BigData ecosystem.
- Solving complex technical problems of increased responsibility (escalations from other engineers).
Architecture and Quality:
- Participation in defining the technology stack for specific projects and tasks.
- Defining the technological strategy for project development, forward-looking work.
- Controlling the quality of integration solutions, identifying technical debt, and creating tasks for refactoring.
- Working with architectural diagrams, understanding the principles of DWH and DataLake construction.
Processes and Documentation:
- Establishing and improving engineering processes (CI/CD, code review).
- Developing and maintaining up-to-date documentation on platform component interactions.
- Prompt response to incidents within the area of responsibility, timely task completion.
- Regular reporting on activities to management.
‼️Requirements
- Solid knowledge of Java or Groovy, understanding of OOP principles, ability to read and analyze others' code.
- Databases: Deep knowledge of SQL (indexes, functions, reading query plans, optimization).
- Experience with relational DBMS (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL, MsSQL, DB2).
- BigData & ETL: Experience with Hadoop (understanding HDFS, data formats), Hive, or similar storage.
- Knowledge of ETL tool specifics (Apache NiFi, Airflow, Talend, Informatica, SAP BW, etc.).
- Development Tools: Confident use of Git in the console, project building, compilation, and deployment in containers (Docker, Rancher).
- Documentation and Planning: Experience with project management and documentation systems (Jira, Confluence, and similar).
✔️Will be an advantage:
- Experience in administering Unix/Linux or Hadoop components (HDFS, Yarn, Ranger, Spark, Zookeeper).
- Experience with monitoring systems (Zabbix).
- Experience using configuration management tools (Ansible).
