Cloud Solutions Developer on the ClickHouse Platform

Yandex is the birthplace of ClickHouse, one of the world's most popular analytical DBMS. We want to combine the advantages of a cloud approach with proven analytics technologies to give users limitless possibilities for data management.

We are looking for a person who will help integrate ClickHouse into the Yandex Cloud infrastructure and develop the engine together with us. One of our team's projects is diskless ClickHouse on top of object storage.

What tasks await you

Integration of ClickHouse with the cloud You will be responsible for implementing support for cloud storage services for the diskless version of the DBMS.

Performance Optimization You will develop and configure mechanisms that ensure high resilience and speed of operation on cloud resources.

Engine functionality development You will add new features to ClickHouse, taking into account the needs of cloud service users.

Scalability and Fault Tolerance You will implement mechanisms for fault tolerance, distributed computing, and query load balancing.

We expect that you

• Know classic algorithms and data structures
• Have worked with C++ for at least a year (ClickHouse uses C++23)
• Are familiar with the specifics of the data storage domain
• Have a good understanding of the internal mechanisms of one or several DBMSs

Will be a plus

• Have participated in open-source projects
• Understand the specifics of distributed systems
