Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services primarily using Ruby on Rails, with a focus on high performance and availability.
Build and optimize relational databases (MySQL) for scalability and reliability.
Develop secure, well-documented RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails to ensure
seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Frontend
Developers, and DevOps, for cohesive feature development and deployment.
Implement early security checks (shift-left security) and adhere to secure coding
practices.
Write and maintain automated tests (unit to end-to-end) to ensure high code quality
in Rails applications.
Participate in the CI/CD process, streamlining deployment and monitoring production
systems.
Provide constructive feedback in code reviews, maintaining coding standards with an
emphasis on security, performance, and Ruby on Rails best practices.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing, fostering a
collaborative and innovative culture.
Requirements:
3+ years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
Proven expertise in building, optimizing, and scaling backend systems in Ruby on
Rails.
Proficient in MySQL, with experience in performance tuning and database
optimization.
Solid experience with RESTful API development and integration, especially in Ruby
on Rails.
Hands-on experience in automated testing for quality assurance within Rails applications.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes, with a focus on deployment and production monitoring.
Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Fluent in English, both written and oral.
