Unity Developer (Gameplay & UI), C#
Level: Middle / Middle+
Role Objective: to strengthen the team on a permanent basis — to create game mechanics and interfaces for both the current project and future ones. The current priority is to complete the gameplay and interface parts of the current project on top of the existing foundation; subsequently, the same role will be applied to new studio games.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Daily: write gameplay mechanics and screens in C#; create and implement interfaces; connect Spine animations; integrate everything with existing project components (saves, progress, flags, sound, translations).
- Overall Project: develop features from sketch to working state, assist in integrating finished art, participate in testing.
- Fully Responsible For: gameplay mechanics within their scope and the entire interface surrounding them.
- Together with the Team: art and animation integration, common system interfaces, testing.
- Good Employee within 3-6 months: takes a task and completes it independently; writes in the same style as the rest of the code (uses existing project components, doesn't create unnecessary duplicates); doesn't break others' systems.
Candidate Requirements
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in C# and Unity.
- Extensive experience with UGUI interface layout (Canvas, anchors and RectTransform, Layout Groups, ScrollRect, TextMeshPro) — this is a significant part of the work.
- Integration of Spine animations (SkeletonGraphic/SkeletonAnimation, skins, starting and changing animations from code, reacting to animation events).
- Understanding of DI (what dependency injection is, how objects are registered and live) and ability to work with existing code through provided services, rather than global variables.
- Interface animations (DOTween or similar).
- Experience: at least one Unity game completed. Genres include visual novels, clickers, simple RPGs, or similar (management, simulators). Any of these genres is a significant plus.
- Tools: Unity (6 LTS, URP render), Git and Git LFS.
- Languages: Russian — working proficiency; English — ability to read documentation.
Desirable (Plus):
- Experience with dialogue systems; game balance and economy; configuration via ScriptableObject; tutorial scenarios; translations (I2 or similar); saving in JSON.
- Independence, ability to see tasks through to completion, carefulness with others' code, reliability, and good communication within a small team.
