We are IBS. A leading Russian system integrator, a developer of digital solutions for the largest companies and the public sector.
You will join a team working on a large-scale HR platform — this is the first Russian HR platform with 230,000 active users, uniting over 40 applications on one platform. The product is developed using artificial intelligence and has received awards in UX/UI and HR.
Each team consists of 5 to 12 people: analysts, team lead, frontend developers, backend developers, manual testers, one automation engineer, and one performance tester. We need a specialist to cover the performance testing area and ensure the system's stability and performance for hundreds of thousands of users.
What you will be doing (responsibilities)
- Developing performance testing tools: scripts, emulators, test data generation utilities.
- Creating stubs for isolated component testing.
- Building reports on performed performance tests.
- Analyzing results, identifying bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Communicating with the development and testing team to clarify scenarios and localize problems.
- Participating in performance test planning and selection of testing strategy.
Our requirements (competencies)
Experience: from 6 months of commercial experience in performance testing. Candidates without commercial experience are not considered.
Mandatory skills:
Testing Theory:
- Knowledge of the main types of performance testing and their purpose (load, stress, volume, stability testing, etc.).
- Knowledge of key performance metrics and their meaning (response time, throughput, number of concurrent users, CPU/memory load, etc.).
- Understanding the purpose of monitoring during performance testing.
Testing / Monitoring Tools:
- JMeter: proficient use of the tool.
- Knowledge of JMeter element types used for building load scenarios (test plans) and their purpose.
- Understanding the execution order and scope of each JMeter element type.
- Knowledge of popular JMeter scenario (test plan) elements of each type.
- Grafana / Prometheus: experience with monitoring systems.
Technical Skills:
- Basic Linux command-line knowledge (file system navigation, file creation/copying/moving/editing, SSH).
- SQL at the level of understanding JOIN, GROUP BY operations, aggregation functions.
- Basic understanding of HTTP operation (basic communication rules and message structures).
- Understanding the purpose of REST API.
Will be an advantage:
- Experience in performance testing of large high-load systems (thousands/hundreds of thousands of users).
- Experience testing microservice architectures.
- Skills in writing Python/Shell scripts for automating data preparation.
- Experience with queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and databases under load.
- Understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift operating principles.
