Keepgo is a global mobile internet provider offering innovative products and solutions based on virtual technologies, primarily eSIM.
We are looking for an experienced PHP Backend (Laravel) Developer to help accelerate backend development, relieve the current team, and close the task backlog.
Mission: Accelerate backend development, relieve the current team, and close the task backlog. Maintain and improve the quality of existing code, including legacy parts.
Responsibilities:
- Development of new backend features for the mobile internet management platform (eSIM and regular SIM)
- Design and implementation of REST API endpoints
- Support and gradual refactoring of legacy code
- Optimization of performance and database queries
- Writing unit and integration tests
- Participation in code reviews
- Automate repetitive parts of work using AI agents (integrating new providers, typical endpoints, tests) — gradually reducing typical task completion from days to hours.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of commercial experience in PHP
- 2+ years of experience with Laravel (current versions)
- Solid knowledge of PHP 8.1+ (we are currently at PHP 8.4)
- Experience with Laravel 10+
- MySQL: schema design, indexes, query optimization, reading EXPLAIN
- Experience with Docker and docker-compose
- Experience with Git, pull requests, code review participation
- Experience writing unit/integration tests (PHPUnit or Pest)
- Willingness to work with legacy code, ability to understand others' solutions
- Understanding of SOLID, basic design patterns
- English: Beginner and above
- Practical experience or clear understanding of the value of working through AI agents
- Conscious verification of code generated by agents: ability to logically and correctly explain the generated result
Will be a plus:
- Experience with queues (Redis, RabbitMQ, Laravel Queue)
- Experience with PHPStan / Larastan (static analysis)
- Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
- Experience working in a modular monolith or microservices architecture
- Understanding of DDD / Clean Architecture
- AWS or Azure
- Experience in telecom
- Skill in decomposing tasks for effective delegation to AI agents
- Ability to identify characteristic flaws in AI-generated code
- Experience in creating system instructions and reusable roles for agents instead of writing one-off prompts
- Ability to build multi-stage agent chains (analysis → planning → coding → testing)
- Skill in integrating agents with the external environment: MCP servers, technical documentation, and task trackers
- Clear understanding of the applicability limits of AI: where automation is useful, and where manual execution is more appropriate
