Role Description

The Thought Leader Relations Manager is a remote role working directly with the founder, responsible for bringing DonateOpen's core idea into academic and intellectual circles. This role builds and owns relationships with leading scholars, public intellectuals, and creators — engaging them as experts, discussants, and ambassadors for the project. Day-to-day work includes researching who matters in current intellectual debates, conducting cold and warm outreach, and advancing The Future of Money within academic and intellectual circles through reviews, discussions, podcast appearances, citations, and outreach to publishers and researchers. The person in this role will work alongside the founder on Substack, X, and other channels — shaping arguments, finding the right conversations, and getting the ideas in front of the people who matter. They will own and track the relationship pipeline and report regularly on what is moving. We are looking for someone based in Europe. The scholars, public intellectuals, and creators you will work with are spread across the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe, so you should be comfortable structuring your day around conversations in several time zones.
