High-load backend for the international electric scooter rental service JET.
In this role, the main focus will not be on the number of new product features, but on engineering tasks related to the stability, performance, and scalability of backend systems. We need an engineer with practical experience in high-load backend and distributed systems, production incidents, bottleneck identification, performance optimization, and preparing the platform for load growth.
What is important to us: – Commercial Go development experience of 4+ years – Confident knowledge of Go: goroutines, channels, interfaces, structs, methods – Good understanding of asynchronous, concurrent, and parallel programming – Experience with high-load / distributed / event-driven systems – Experience with gRPC – PostgreSQL: transactions, isolation levels, ACID – Understanding of guaranteed event delivery approaches: Outbox or similar solutions – Practical experience with stability, performance, and production incidents – MongoDB or other NoSQL databases – Redis, distributed locks, or similar solutions – Message brokers: NATS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc. – Experience with observability: metrics, tracing, alerting
High autonomy is particularly important: the ability to gather necessary context independently, identify priority improvement areas, and propose well-reasoned technical solutions.
Previous project domain is not critical – we consider candidates from various industries. 📍 Employment – Kazakhstan, officially. Relocation is not required.
