Java Developer for the B2B Platform team at Yandex 360

The B2B Platform is a group of services (the foundation) for managing organizations in Yandex 360. The components that comprise it manage the lifecycle of organizational resources (files, shared drives, mailboxes, etc.), as well as the organizational structure (employees, groups, departments).

What tasks await you

Managing the phased transition from Python to Java within the development group You will need to decompose the Python monolith into functional blocks and form a unified template for new Java services. You will be responsible for creating new services in Java, as well as training other developers on the team.

Developing new microservices for business tasks You will need to create APIs and work with other components of the Yandex 360 ecosystem. You will need to design architecture, choose suitable patterns, and implement new functional modules.

We expect that you

• Have excellent command of Java, write clean, optimized code, know how to apply design patterns
• Have worked with high-load systems: know how to efficiently store and process large volumes of data, understand profiling and optimization
• Are capable of decomposing and solving complex tasks: understand business requirements, break them down into subtasks, and competently set priorities

Will be a plus

• Have experience splitting a monolith into microservices and applying corresponding patterns (Strangler Fig, Domain-driven design, etc.)
• Have designed and implemented scalable architecture
