Java Backend Developer in Verticals

Yandex Verticals are technologies that connect users with their dreams. We develop the Yandex Travel, Rentals, and Real Estate classifieds services—helping to buy travel tickets, book hotels, or find a new home.

Within Verticals, we have created a Java development bootcamp to help you choose the most suitable team from the start. As part of this program, you will work with three different teams to better understand their processes and development approaches and land in the one that suits you best.

Available work formats: flexible hybrid from cities where teams are present or remotely from any city in Russia.

Services included in the Java bootcamp:

• Yandex Travel — a service that helps users independently organize their vacation or business trip on a turnkey basis. The service where you are the reason for new routes.
• Real Estate — a service that not only helps to buy, sell, rent an apartment or commercial property but also provides reliable information about properties. Thanks to you, a home becomes closer.
• Rentals — a convenient city service where specialists help property owners quickly rent out apartments and help tenants find a new home. You make housing accessible and convenient.

What tasks await you

Active development of a truly large-scale business, understandable to anyone who has ever been on vacation, rented, or purchased housing You will be responsible for designing, developing, and scaling microservices, solving product and infrastructure tasks, creating and maintaining software—from writing to deployment in production, as well as ensuring stable operation of components and promptly solving problems.

We expect that you

• Have more than five years of commercial development experience on the JVM stack
• Know classic algorithms and data structures
• Have developed complex web applications or data processing systems
• Know how to design systems

Will be a plus

• Have created and developed projects from scratch
• Have developed high-load systems
