Due to the expansion of our office in China, we are looking for a strong women's clothing designer with at least 5 years of experience, who can work with various product categories and perfect the fit and production readiness of models.
This vacancy requires relocation to China on a permanent basis!
Responsibilities:
- Developing patterns based on designer sketches and prototypes
- Measuring prototypes with photo documentation of details and deviations
- Discussing design solutions with the designer
- Fitting mock-ups in Style3D
- Preparing technical specifications for samples and batch production
- Fittings: 1st sample, 2nd sample, PPS
- Analyzing fit and making adjustments
- Documenting comments after each round
- Adjusting patterns and design documentation
- Creating layouts and calculating consumption norms
- Entering data into BOM
- Uploading patterns and design documentation to PLM Cosmic
- Working on complex assemblies in the sample room
- Preparing final patterns for production launch
- Interacting with factories
- Synchronizing with designers and technologists
- Online fittings with the international team (including the Moscow office)
- Working in a multicultural environment
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a designer
- Experience in at least 2 categories (priority for 3+): outerwear, textile, denim, cut knitwear
- Proficiency in Style3D, Grafis 12
- Understanding of fit and industrial construction
- Experience working with factories
- English language proficiency
Will be a plus:
- Experience working in China / with Chinese factories
- Experience with PLM systems
- 3D design skills
