Intern in the AI Infrastructure Frontend Development Team at Yandex 360

Yandex 360 is a suite of services for work and everyday tasks. We are developing the frontend infrastructure for the entire ecosystem. One of our tasks is to create AI assistants that eliminate the need for manual code rewriting. We are looking for an intern with knowledge of TypeScript and experience with code assistants.

We are the core frontend team at Yandex 360. The team consists of eight frontend developers. Our areas of responsibility include:

• AI infrastructure for Yandex 360 frontend – as all developers use code assistants
• Orbita – a React component library for all Yandex 360 services (Mail, Disk, Calendar, Messenger, Telemost, and a dozen others)
• PDOK – a platform for distributing common components based on Module Federation
• FF Duffman – a BFF used by almost all Yandex 360 services
• CI/CD infrastructure – accelerating development and delivery processes

Technology stack: React, TypeScript, Module Federation, webpack, Node.js.

Why work with AI infrastructure? According to our surveys, over 90% of Yandex 360 frontend developers use AI code assistants in their work. However, without proper context, AI generates code that does not meet team standards, uses non-existent component APIs, and ultimately, such code is easier to rewrite than to fix. We are building infrastructure that will allow AI assistants to become full-fledged team members. They will know project architectures, adhere to coding standards, use real components from our libraries, and generate code that won't need rewriting.
