Branding Designer, Remote, working at ONY

Hello! We are involved in strategy, branding, and digital solutions for industry leaders: Yandex, Zolotoye Yabloko, T-Bank, Megafon, HeadHunter, Tretyakov Gallery, and others. We help brands be noticeable, recognizable, and loved.

There are 110 specialists in the ONY team. On average, each designer handles 7 branding or 5 digital projects per year. We have 220+ international and local awards, plus a strong team and support for initiatives. We create conditions where you yourself are surprised at how quickly you've become stronger.

We are looking for a Senior Designer for the branding team who wants to create landmark projects for the industry. Senior means a multi-talented designer with extensive experience in branding. We value both craft (top-notch typography, ability to develop a visual system in motion, 3D will be a big plus) and soft skills (ability to clearly and inspiringly explain ideas, share knowledge with the team, desire to understand the client's task, and ability to defend ideas and projects in presentations). Craft is more important (we'll help with the rest if desired): we look at portfolios and Instagram, not resumes.

What you'll be doing

— Creating design systems for a wide variety of clients: we equally love (and do) both commercial projects for large companies and creative collaborations with art institutions;

— Participating in projects at any stage of development: independent concept development, evolving team ideas and concepts, creating detailed guidelines and specific deliverables — we like to change concepts during work, so the result is enriched with the necessary amount of different opinions and expertise;

— Creating modern, instrumentally rich concepts: typography, photo style, brand illustration, icon design, brand motion behavior, and 3D — it's important for us that you can scale the visual language across the entire available toolkit;

— Effectively managing your time — we don't want to control every step and don't force you to work from the office. In return, we promise high-quality planning without overtime;

— Discussing your solutions within the team and defending concepts to the client;

— Developing and growing your skills within a team of motivated professionals.

Experience we're looking for

— A strong brand designer capable of independently developing a concept or evolving someone else's;

— Understands the importance of brand development in motion and can offer solutions that work in the modern digital space;

— Top-notch knowledge of the Adobe suite (.ai .ps .aep .indd), Cinema 4D will be a significant plus;

— Experience in type design (Glyphs, Robofont), web (Figma, Readymag), photo and/or video production will be a plus.
