Sports – not just another sports news site. It is a technological platform with tens of thousands of RPS, millions of MAU, hundreds of mobile pushes per month, its own recommendation system, and machine learning that makes user interaction more comfortable and resolves conflicts in comments.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The average monthly audience of Sports exceeds 25 million unique active users. About a million of them come from mobile applications, and they generate more than half of all views.
Therefore, it is critically important for us to develop our mobile projects: grow the audience, improve the quality of applications, and strengthen the engineering culture of the team.
Our tech stack: Kotlin, Clean Architecture, Multi-module architecture, Single Activity, MVI + VM, Hilt, Jetpack Navigation, Compose, Apollo GraphQL + Coroutines.
We are currently looking for a strong Android Developer to join our mobile development team.
With us, you will:
- Develop new Sports applications using a modern tech stack.
- Participate in establishing cross-team processes, including Code Review and defining Code Style.
- Work on setting up and developing CI/CD.
- Write unit tests.
- Participate in team expansion.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN CANDIDATES
- You have 3+ years of Android development experience: you know the platform and main frameworks well.
- You understand how to choose technologies and approaches based on tasks. It's great if you have experience designing applications from scratch.
- You actively participate in teamwork: through code review, sharing expertise, and clear communication.
- Help make technical decisions, document agreements, and maintain unified quality standards.
- Know how to highlight risks in advance, constructively resolve complex discussions, and help colleagues.
- You understand the full development cycle and confidently work with Git.
- It will be a plus if you can set up CI/CD, write Unit, UI, and integration tests.
