We are looking for a strong pictogram designer / iconographer for a project to develop a full-fledged and scalable icon system for our product in the classifieds sector.
— Icon System Architecture: conceptualize the architecture and create a large pack, considering grid, sizes, and scalability; — AI & Modern Workflow: we are for effective tools — using AI to speed up processes is allowed and encouraged, but the main focus is on high quality and viability of the final system; — Documentation & Handoff: prepare a guidebook and rules for working with the pack in Figma, so the system can be easily maintained by the team.
— Deep Craft Skill: impeccable technical foundation — pixel perfect, optical compensation, working with grids, unified construction rules, and visual consistency; — Working with Metaphors: the ability to create symbols that are understandable to users, yet reflect the brand's character and identity, rather than looking like a default pack; — Systemic Approach: experience in designing, documenting, and handing over icon systems; — Collaboration: the ability to justify your decisions, readiness to go through iterations and refine visuals with the team.
This is not just a task of drawing graphics. It's an opportunity to build a fundamental visual system for a large-scale product from scratch and set standards that the team will use for a long time.
