Yandex Practicum is an online education service where you can truly master a sought-after digital profession and find stable employment. Technology and a team of experts help see things through to the end. We are expanding our course offerings in Architecture and are looking for authors who, together with methodology specialists, editors, and illustrators, will create content for a new product.

What does the author do?

• Creates materials for new courses in a team with other authors, methodology specialists, editors, illustrators, and the program's product managers.
• Writes lesson texts that maintain student interest in learning.
• Improves existing content based on feedback from students, support experts, and editors.
• Develops additional materials (simulators, checklists, tests, reference sheets, quizzes) and test assignments to check knowledge.
• Suggests ideas on how to improve material comprehension.

What do we expect from you?

• Knowledge of classical RL methods: MDP, POMDP, value-based and policy-based approaches, Bellman equations, exploration strategies.
• Experience with Deep Reinforcement Learning: DQN, Policy Gradient, Actor-Critic, PPO, and related algorithms.
• Experience implementing RL systems: building an agent, experience buffer, TD-updates, network architectures, and training loops.
• Understanding of advanced behavioral methods: curiosity-driven approaches, RND/ICM, model-based RL, planning, multi-agent systems.
• Experience with PyTorch: building and training neural network models, implementing policy/value networks, optimization.
• Practical experience with RL environments: OpenAI Gym/Gymnasium, PettingZoo, custom environments.
• Understanding of production services: API, Docker, logging, monitoring.
• 'Hands-on' experience in managing a typical ML project: pipeline design, versioning, working with experiments, debugging.
