⚔️At AdGuard, for 17 years now, we have been creating and developing a line of products to protect against internet advertising, tracking, phishing, and other web threats. The product ecosystem consists of many browser extensions, desktop, and mobile applications. More than 100 million people worldwide use our software in 20+ languages.

📱We are now looking for a strong mobile KMP developer who will develop a cross-platform architecture at the intersection of complex background logic and the interface.

What you will do:

• Develop common business logic for products using KMP
• Design the architecture and implement a common UI layer through custom KMP solutions
• Develop platform abstractions that ensure efficient management of main and background threads
• Implement interoperability between KMP and native components
• Design and implement reliable inter-process communication (IPC) mechanisms between applications and services

What we expect from you:

• Commercial experience in KMP development for at least 2 years: you understand how the lifecycle of multiplatform applications works, know the limitations of the technology, and have launched KMP in production.
• Solid understanding of IPC mechanisms and how applications work in several isolated processes, ability to organize work between them.
• Deep understanding of multithreading, experience in manual thread pool management and optimization of asynchronous code.
• Solid native background (Android/iOS): commercial experience in mobile development for at least 5 years.
• Understanding of platform specifics under the hood.
• Engineering independence: ability to dig deep into tool source code, profile memory and performance of cross-platform code

Also a plus:

• Experience and solid knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines
• Experience in native development in a related field
• Knowledge of other programming languages
