Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for: Senior DevOps Engineer for the MIUZ project Company: AGIMA Work format: hybrid, 2 days in the office (Moscow, Nagatinskaya St. 5) Salary range: up to 320,000 rubles net

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will help build the product infrastructure from scratch and prepare it for further development. The main focus of the role is hands-on infrastructure work: approximately 80% of your time will be spent configuring and operating systems, and the remaining 20% on architectural solutions and interaction with teams.

At the first stage, the product will be migrated to our environment, so the infrastructure will run on Docker Swarm. After the migration is completed, we plan to switch to Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial experience in DevOps or SRE.
• Experience in designing and building infrastructure from scratch.
• Experience operating Docker Swarm in production.
• Solid knowledge of Kubernetes and production experience with it.
• Practical experience in configuring GitLab CI/CD:
  • creating and maintaining pipelines;
  • configuring and using GitLab Runners;
  • automating builds, tests, and deployments.
• Understanding of the network model and Nginx proxying principles.
• Experience operating Percona XtraDB Cluster or Galera in production.
• Understanding of PXC/Galera principles:
  • quorum and split-brain;
  • SST and IST;
  • cluster bootstrap after failure;
  • backup using Percona XtraBackup.
• Experience working with Zabbix.
• Readiness to make technical decisions independently and be responsible for the results.

Will be a plus

• Experience working with Russian cloud providers, particularly Yandex Cloud.
• Knowledge of Terraform.
• Knowledge of Ansible.
• Experience migrating from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes.
• Experience building fault-tolerant infrastructure.
• Experience participating in technical negotiations with contractors and cloud providers.

Tasks

• Design and deploy product infrastructure from scratch.
• Prepare the infrastructure for migrating the product to our environment.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines for frontend and backend teams.
• Deploy and maintain a production Docker Swarm cluster.
• Establish a convenient and reliable deployment process.
• Help development teams work with infrastructure without unnecessary complications.
• After the migration is completed, design and carry out the migration from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes.
• Administer Percona XtraDB Cluster:
  • ensure fault tolerance;
  • monitor quorum status;
  • configure backups;
  • ensure recovery after failures.
• Configure and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging.
• Work closely with development teams.
• Participate in technical negotiations with contractors.
