ML/CV Senior Backend Developer (Python)

PLAI startup with investments and IT accreditation is looking for a senior fullstack developer at the intersection of ML/CV and backend to develop and support a high-load system for processing live video streams with neural networks. We are creating a platform for sports events with various interactive tools — broadcasts, event recordings, player statistics collection, analytics system, and other interesting features. The main tasks include processing video streams using neural network computer vision solutions from multiple cameras with a high fps value. This is a great opportunity to use your skills to develop sports technologies!

Key Tasks:

• Developing a Python video pipeline for processing a large number of parallel video streams.
• Developing efficient video synchronization and processing algorithms, optimizing performance, and achieving established latency metrics.
• Writing wrappers for neural network models for real-time data analysis from multiple video streams up to 60fps.
• Developing fault-tolerant solutions for distributed data processing using NATS.
• Close collaboration with ML engineers and DevOps teams for integrating and deploying solutions.

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of Python and 5+ years of development experience in it.
• Understanding of high-load systems and microservice architectures, principles of asynchronous event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of video data processing tools such as ffmpeg, GStreamer, OpenCV.
• Experience with Docker.
• Debugging and profiling skills for high-load Python applications.

Additional Skills (will be an advantage, but not required):

• Knowledge of video streaming protocols (RTMP/RTSP/WebRTC).
• Experience with CUDA, OpenCL, TensorRT, ONNX for video processing acceleration.
• Experience integrating ML models into production systems.
• Experience using shared memory.
• Experience optimizing GPU memory utilization.
• Experience with S3.
