We are creating cutting-edge solutions in the field of intelligent unstructured content processing – developing enablers for embedding ML models into banking processes:
- Verification Station – a service for verifying the results of ML model content recognition
- ML Load balancer – a document-oriented load balancer for models
The platform is one of the largest in the Russian Federation, processing over 1 million documents daily, supporting high-load workflows, and providing a user-friendly UI for onboarding custom initiatives.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Kotlin developer to strengthen the backend team and develop and support microservices for both products.
Responsibilities
- develop functionality and integration logic for high-load clustered applications within the current stack (Spring Boot 4, PostgreSQL, Apache Kafka, OpenShift, Apache Ignite, S3/Ceph, Golang)
- enhance existing functionality, fix bugs, optimize code of existing components
- design inter-service communication via Apache Kafka
- work with relational databases (PostgreSQL), distributed cache (Apache Ignite), and object storage (S3/Ceph)
- configure and develop observability: Prometheus metrics, Grafana dashboards, log and trace correlation
- estimate effort for module implementation, participate in planning, conduct code reviews
- document your code, participate in the development of implementation instructions and rollback plans
- participate in incident analysis, identify root causes of failures and bottlenecks.
Requirements
- commercial development experience in Kotlin (will consider Java with willingness to switch) and Spring Boot — from 3 years
- confident work with Kotlin Coroutines
- experience with Apache Kafka (producers/consumers, understanding of event-driven approach)
- knowledge of PostgreSQL, Spring Data JPA, query optimization
- experience with unit and integration testing (JUnit 5, Mockito/MockK)
- experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
- ability to read logs and metrics, find the cause of errors
Will be a plus
- experience in Golang development — there are several services written in Go
- experience with Jenkins, Argo CD
- familiarity with Istio / service mesh
- experience with distributed cache (Apache Ignite) and object storage (S3/Ceph).
