DevOps Engineer (Warsaw)

HES FinTech develops advanced lending software solutions for banks, financial institutions, and fintech companies worldwide. Our platform helps organizations automate lending processes, improve risk management, and scale digital lending operations.

We are currently focusing on candidates located in Warsaw or open to working from Warsaw, as part of the engineering team is based there.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will gradually become the owner of our infrastructure and DevOps processes.

Our infrastructure is AWS-based, with Kubernetes as the main platform. We actively use Infrastructure as Code, GitOps practices, monitoring, and production observability tools.

This role is especially important for us because:

• we already have active production systems,
• and at the same time we are launching a new project where infrastructure decisions will be made from the early stages.

You will work closely with the engineering team and have a high level of ownership over infrastructure and operational improvements.

Tech Stack

AWS, GCP / Kubernetes (EKS) / Terraform / ArgoCD (GitOps) / Helm / GitLab CI/CD / Prometheus / Grafana / ELK / CloudWatch / Docker / Linux

What You’ll Do

• Maintain and improve AWS-based Kubernetes infrastructure
• Develop and support GitOps workflows using ArgoCD
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines
• Manage infrastructure with Terraform
• Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting
• Support production environments and participate in incident response
• Optimize cloud infrastructure and costs
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers and product teams
• Participate in infrastructure decisions for new projects

Nice to Have

• Experience with security tooling and vulnerability scanning
• Disaster recovery and backup automation experience
• Experience in fintech or high-availability systems
• SRE / platform engineering background

What We’re Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Understanding of GitOps principles
• Production troubleshooting experience
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Good communication skills and proactive mindset
• English level: Intermediate+ (B1/B2+)
