Automation QA (Novosibirsk office)

ELTEX is a Russian developer of telecommunications equipment and software. We develop not only hardware components but also software for a wide range of products: from GPON equipment and Ethernet switches to Wi-Fi devices, VoIP gateways, home routers, IP media centers, and solutions for "Smart Home and IoT.

In connection with the expansion of our team, we are looking for an Automation QA for the Elph project.

Elph is a client-server application that allows making and receiving voice calls via the SIP protocol, as well as sending and receiving files, text, and voice messages over mobile internet or Wi-Fi.

Responsibilities:

• Writing automatic API and UI tests in Python
• Preparing test data
• Integrating automation into CI/CD
• Performing testing and analyzing results
• Writing test documentation: checklists, test cases, bug reports in Jira, Confluence

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Python + pytest
• Experience working in Linux-like operating systems
• General understanding of protocols: DHCP, DNS, TCP, UDP
• REST (basic methods, response codes, authorization methods)
• WebSockets - general understanding

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of basic principles and types of encryption, what HTTPS and TLS are
• Understanding of computer hardware (hardware)
