Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Senior Developer for the integration team. The main focus is on the integration bus and message brokers, rather than deep Java development. Java is used as the implementation language, but the key expertise is in integrations and messaging patterns.

Development is carried out on the bus. Knowledge of JVM internals, reactive programming, and modern frameworks (Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut) is not required – understanding integration principles and the ability to work with ready-made components is important.

Stack: Java 8/11, integration bus (WSO2 or equivalent), JMS / Oracle AQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka (as transport), Apache Camel / Spring Integration, Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Development and support of integration solutions based on the bus • System integration via message brokers (JMS / Oracle AQ, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) • Using Kafka as transport (without Kafka Streams, Connect, and Schema Registry) • Applying integration patterns (Message Router, Splitter, Aggregator, Idempotent Consumer, Dead Letter Channel, etc.) using ready-made components (Apache Camel, Spring Integration) • Documenting developed solutions in Confluence according to bank templates • Handing over solutions to the testing team

• there are no specific requirements for test coverage (JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers), functional integration is sufficient

Mandatory Requirements

• Java 8 or 11 knowledge at a Senior level • Experience with an integration bus

• any of: WSO2 (ideal), IBM App Connect, Oracle Service Bus, Apache Camel, MuleSoft • Experience with message brokers: JMS / Oracle AQ (current), RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ • Understanding of integration patterns from the book "Enterprise Integration Patterns" (Hohpe & Woolf)
• it is important not just to know the terms, but to understand how the pattern will behave • Experience in documenting developed systems in Confluence

Will be a plus

• Experience with RabbitMQ and ActiveMQ (in addition to JMS) • Experience working with Kafka as transport • Experience using Apache Camel or Spring Integration to implement patterns
