Group Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO)
An international fintech group is developing an integrated payment platform that combines acquiring, corporate accounts, and card solutions within a single technological ecosystem.
The product model is built around:
- global payment infrastructure,
- virtual card issuance (Visa/Mastercard),
- business accounts with support for international transfers,
- B2B solutions for client scaling,
- operations in regulated jurisdictions.
The company is in an active scaling phase: expanding its geographical presence, strengthening licensed business lines, consolidating architecture, and forming a unified technology and product strategy at the group level.
About the Role
CTPO is a Board-level strategic position responsible for the technological and product development of the entire group of companies.
The role involves shaping a long-term vision, creating a unified platform architecture, synchronizing regulated and unregulated perimeters, and establishing an efficient Technology & Product operating model.
CTPO represents the technology and product function before the Board of Directors, investors, and strategic partners.
Responsibilities
Group Strategy and Development
- Formulating a unified technology and product strategy at the holding level.
- Defining the platform's long-term vision, architectural map, and investment priorities.
- Identifying new growth areas, technology consolidation opportunities, and M&A potential.
- Aligning the product strategy with the group's business goals and financial model.
Architecture and Platform
- Building a scalable platform architecture (core platform, shared services, data layer).
- Establishing unified architectural principles and standards.
- Ensuring system reliability, fault tolerance, security, and scalability.
- Developing the developer ecosystem and internal platform services.
Product Leadership
- Managing the group's product portfolio.
- Formulating roadmaps and prioritization at the P&L level.
- Developing discovery, analytics, UX, and product culture.
- Monitoring impact metrics: profitability, retention, unit economics.
Operating Model
- Creating a unified operating model for product development and launch.
- Standardizing processes, engineering practices, and OKRs.
- Managing Tech & Product budgets.
- Cost optimization, vendor management, resource allocation.
- Establishing a center of expertise (engineering, data, product, design).
Governance and Regulation
- Ensuring technological readiness for regulatory requirements.
- Supporting licensed business lines and compliance processes.
- Ensuring traceability, data quality, and auditability.
- Managing technological risks at the group level.
Leadership and Communication
- Functional leadership of CTOs, CPOs, and Engineering Leads of subsidiary companies.
- Building a strong management team.
- Regular reporting and presentations to the Board.
- Participation in strategic negotiations and major partnership deals.
Requirements
Experience
- 8–12+ years in technology and/or product, with 3–5+ years in a role such as CTO / CPO / CTPO / VP Technology in fintech / crypto / banking / PSP.
- Experience managing technology and product at a group of companies or multi-structural holding level.
- Practical experience building platform architecture and scalable systems.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (licensing, audit, interaction with regulators).
- Management of distributed international teams of 100+ people.
- Responsibility for technological or product P&L.
- Experience interacting with Boards, investors, and shareholders.
