The first stage is a test assignment.
Our friendly team has been developing the online service GoProtect.ru since 2014. We create a user-friendly and modern service for athletes.
Our company in numbers: — Over 500,000 sports insurance policies issued — Over 5,000 online partners — sports federations, clubs, and coaches — Over 200 types of sports
Due to team expansion and the launch of tnote.ru, we are looking for a QA Engineer with programming skills.
We need a person who not only checks the interface against a checklist but also wants to understand how the product works internally: to grasp the system logic, view data in the database, and if necessary, read the code to understand at what stage something went wrong.
What tasks will need to be solved: — Testing new functionality of our products before releasing to production — Checking existing functionality and finding bugs, non-standard scenarios, and edge cases — Understanding the product's business logic and knowing how the functionality works not only from the user's perspective but also within the system — Checking data directly in MySQL and PostgreSQL, writing SQL queries to verify complex cases — Analyzing found bugs and helping developers localize the cause of the problem — Not being afraid to look into Go, PHP, or JavaScript code if it helps understand the functionality or find the source of a bug — Writing small scripts and auxiliary code for testing when necessary — Participating in discussions and verification of new functionality with developers — Using Codex as one of the work tools: for code analysis, composing SQL queries, searching for potential problems, preparing test scenarios, and solving technical tasks
Who we are looking for: — Experience in testing web applications — Understanding how a modern web application is structured: frontend, backend, database — Ability to work with SQL and not being afraid to independently view data in the database — Not being afraid of program code: can read it, understand the basic logic, and use it when searching for errors — Basic programming skills in any language — Ability not just to write "it doesn't work" but to try to figure out exactly what broke, under what conditions, and where the cause might be — Logical thinking, ability to check non-standard scenarios, and ask the right questions — Ability to independently figure out an unfamiliar task — Confidently using Codex as an assistant for technical tasks
Will be a plus: — Experience in writing autotests — Experience working with MySQL / PostgreSQL — Knowledge of Go, PHP, or JavaScript — Experience working with Git
The most important thing for us is not the knowledge of a specific set of technologies by heart, but technical thinking, curiosity, and the desire to understand why the system works the way it does.
Our stack: Backend: Go, PHP Frontend: JavaScript Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
It is not necessary to deeply know our entire stack. It is important not to be afraid to work with it and be able to understand the code and data when it is required for testing.
What we offer: — Work on a real product with a large user base — Opportunity to dive deep into the product and understand its structure, not just limit yourself to manual interface testing — Work in one team with developers and a Team Lead — A wide range of tasks and minimal bureaucracy — Opportunity to develop towards technical QA and test automation — Friendly team — Flexible schedule — Hybrid work format — Office in Saint Petersburg, Kozhevvennaya liniya, 40B
Codex is one of our daily work tools. At the interview, we may offer a small practical task using it. We value not the knowledge of specific commands or prompts by heart, but the ability to correctly set the task, understand the result, and verify it.
