About the company:
Pokeroff is a service platform for regular (professional) poker players with over 20 years of history. The company operates as a media + service business in the poker industry and provides players with:
- rakeback programs (main product),
- access to poker rooms,
- training materials and analytics,
- community and infrastructure for professional play.
Currently:
- a user base has been formed (12,000+ players),
- partnerships with major poker rooms have been established,
- ready infrastructure is in place (CRM, content, processes),
- the business is stable but practically not developing in terms of attracting new users.
The key market is Russian-speaking, with potential and readiness for international expansion.
🎯 What tasks need to be solved
Main Task:
Build a marketing function from scratch and ensure a stable flow of new users (regular players).
Strategic Tasks:
- Develop a marketing strategy under constraints (blocking, advertising ban in the niche)
- Identify effective acquisition channels for a niche audience
- Formulate an international market entry strategy
- Analyze competitors and identify growth opportunities
Operational Tasks:
- Launch and develop acquisition channels (performance + alternative channels)
- Generate qualified leads (key metric)
- Work with the current team (sales, support)
- Build a system of metrics, analytics, and reporting
- Test hypotheses and new channels
Possible Channels (Hypotheses):
- Influencers / streamers / poker influencers
- Telegram and community marketing
- SEO and content (including through international domains)
- YouTube
- Affiliate marketing
- Forums and niche communities
🧠 What experience are we looking for
Must-have:
- Experience in digital marketing in complex or regulated niches (gambling, betting, crypto, etc.)
- Ability to build acquisition with limited standard channels
- Experience with SEO, content, Telegram
- Ability to independently form and implement a strategy
- Russian language (work with the current team)
Important to understand:
- The audience is niche (regular players) but with high LTV
- Direct advertising is practically unavailable
- Work through alternative channels and hypotheses is required
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in the iGaming / poker / affiliate industry
- Understanding of international marketing
- English language
- Experience working with influencers and communities
- Growth mindset
