Developer for the Simulator Infrastructure of the Autonomous Driving Team

The simulator is the path of code into production on a real vehicle and autonomous technologies into real life.

Testing and releasing on a real vehicle is slow, expensive, and it's not always possible to gather all possible road situations and weather conditions. Therefore, it is important for us to build a simulator that would run a very large number of kilometers on a distributed cluster and allow us to conduct tests — from small ones during development to large regression tests during releases. What tasks await you

Develop the simulator infrastructure Develop the infrastructure so that we can replay both real drives and go off-route into a synthetic world. All this should work both on a distributed cluster and on a development machine.

Analyze performance and find bottlenecks Optimize the simulator so that it efficiently utilizes CPU and GPU resources and completes routes faster than in the real world.

Develop tools for developers and analysts Think up and develop cool tools for colleagues that will allow them to conveniently run simulations, obtain their results, and also do this in an interactive mode, like in a debugger.

We expect that you

• Know C++ or another object-oriented language
• Have good algorithmic preparation

It will be a plus

• Write in Go, Python
• Know how to work with YT/MapReduce
• Have experience with profiling and code optimization
