Senior Data Analyst for the Trisigma Team
About the team:
We are developing Trisigma (trisigma.io) — an analytics tool for A/B experimentation and analytics automation in large organizations. Our mission is to enable companies to make daily data-driven decisions without using analysts as an interface to the DWH. The platform is successfully operating within Avito and is being developed as a B2B product for the external market:
- Over 7,000 A/B tests are conducted annually using Trisigma
- Daily aggregation of over 500,000 metrics and dimensions, including statistical test calculations
- Our own high-performance metrics engine (Semantic Layer), used both for A/B testing and for standardizing business reporting
Our clients are analytics and product teams from retail, fintech, e-grocery, e-commerce, and other industries. We work with real experimental data from the largest companies in Russia and the CIS — each project is a non-standard task with a real impact on the business.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting R&D in the field of A/B experiments: researching methods to improve sensitivity, the correctness of statistical criteria, and approaches to metric analysis — drawing on global experience and scientific publications
- Designing the technical design of product increments — from hypothesis formulation to computational pipeline specification
- Leading research and consulting projects with large IT companies: immersing in the client's context, designing analytical solutions, and bringing them to implementation
- Participating in the development of the engine and language for analytical metrics (Semantic Layer)
- Presenting findings and justifying recommendations — both to the internal team and to product managers and executives on the client side
- Developing the platform's methodological base: documenting approaches, forming best practices, participating in the preparation of publications
We expect you to have:
- Data analytics experience of 3+ years (product, research, or data science)
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- Understanding of mathematical statistics and hypothesis testing principles: confidence intervals, MDE, SRM, multiple comparisons, sensitivity optimization methods
- Experience working with analytical warehouses (ClickHouse, Trino, BigQuery, or similar)
- Proficient in data visualization tools (Tableau, Superset, or similar)
- Ability to explain complex analytical concepts in simple language — for product managers, business executives, and non-technical audiences
- Ability to decompose tasks, structure research from problem statement to results presentation
- Autonomy: ability to generate ideas, propose solutions, and achieve results
It would be great if you:
- Have experience with LLMs and AI agents: usage in analytical workflows, prompt engineering, integration into pipelines
- Have a mathematical background: education in statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics
- Have experience in consulting or working with external clients
- Have publications or talks on the topics of A/B testing, causal inference, analytical systems
- Have experience in designing semantic layers or analytical platforms
- Are familiar with Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, S3, Trino)
Working with us means:
- The opportunity to influence business and product development;
- Interesting and diverse tasks: analysts at Avito look for business growth points, study user behavior, develop frameworks, and set up dashboards;
- High-quality data, powerful infrastructure and tools, any necessary hardware — everything is ready for productive work;
- A talented team, a great analytical culture, and a community of professionals;
- A transparent bonus system, a competitive salary — we will discuss the specific amount during the interview;
- A personal learning budget that can be spent on books, courses, and conferences;
- Health care: from day one, you will have VHI with dental coverage, a general practitioner and a masseur are available at the office;
- Remote work and a wonderful office two minutes from the Belorusskaya metro station: panoramic views of the city center, spaces for focused work, and relaxation areas.
