📌 strong product backend developer who once set out to build LLM-based systems; 📌 has already worked with conversational AI — voice or chat; 📌 knows Python excellently, and perhaps a little bit of frontend too.
We love healthtech — and who doesn't love it: it's an opportunity to help people in a truly important area of life! 🏥
But there aren't that many truly cool startups in health (not wellness!). Millions of regulations, complex economics — and not so many ways to integrate into this system while making money.
This makes the business model of Neru Health, for whom we are again looking for engineers, seem even cooler to us. As you remember, they are creating AI support for patients using medical devices. They started with CPAP masks for treating sleep apnea — and now they are expanding to other chronic diseases! The AI assistant Nora answers questions about device usage, helps troubleshoot problems, and reminds patients to order consumables on time 👩⚕️
Thanks to this, patients start following recommendations much more often — but it's not just them who benefit: equipment providers are also happy. Insurance companies in the US reimburse the provider's expenses only if the patient regularly uses the issued device. If they stop using it, the payments stop 🤷♀️
Nora also reduces the load on providers' call centers — and allows live specialists to handle more complex cases. It turns out to be a win-win: patients get support and don't abandon treatment, providers save money and improve service — and Neru continues to grow and build their product 😼
We have already found a backend developer and an ML engineer for their cool team (MIPT, SHAD, Harvard, HSE, etc.), and now we are looking for two more:
Office in Munich, salary $115k–140k + equity, relocation assistance within the EU is provided, and they are also open to considering the USA with a different salary range 🥨
