C++ Developer for Network Block Device at Yandex Cloud

You will participate in the development of Yandex Cloud as part of the Cloud Foundation Services team, gain experience in creating complex fault-tolerant distributed systems, be able to significantly improve the unique distributed data storage system, and get acquainted with the specifics of various Yandex services.

You will participate in the development of Yandex Network Block Storage (NBS) — Yandex Cloud's network drives. This is the basic storage layer for virtual machines: almost all Compute Cloud users who launch VMs use NBS drives. NBS provides reliable thin-provisioned block devices that connect to virtual machines over the network, support snapshots, and are designed to work in a fault-tolerant distributed infrastructure. NBS is based on the implementation of Network Block Device on top of YDB BlobStorage. The platform has several types of network drives — they differ in performance profiles and are optimized for different scenarios: by latency, throughput, and IOPS (from more economical options to high-performance ones). We are looking for an engineer for the team that works on the performance of network drives.
