Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Astana, Kazakhstan

Technology company (IT)

✔️ Experience in IT or technology companies is mandatory ✔️ Deep knowledge of the accounting and tax legislation of Kazakhstan

The company is at the scaling stage, requiring strengthening of financial management and increased transparency of processes.

Main Goal of the Role

Building a sustainable and transparent financial model, implementing international reporting, and active participation in the strategic management of the company.

Responsibilities

Strategy and Business Development • Participation in strategy development together with the CEO and shareholders • Financial assessment of new products, directions, and monetization models • Support of management decisions through analytics and modeling

Financial Planning and Control • Leading budgeting, business planning, and forecasting • Monitoring budget execution and key financial indicators • Financial risk management

Accounting and Reporting • Organization of accounting and tax accounting in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan • Implementation and development of IFRS reporting • Preparation of management and consolidated reporting

Processes and Automation • Optimization of financial processes • Development and implementation of ERP systems and management accounting tools

Interaction with External Parties • Work with auditors, banks, consultants, and regulators

Team Management • Leadership of the financial function (approximately 10 people) • Team development, strengthening key roles as needed

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in CFO, Deputy CFO, or Head of Finance positions • Experience in IT or technology companies is mandatory • Practical experience in building financial processes in a growing business • Deep knowledge of the accounting and tax legislation of Kazakhstan • Experience in preparing IFRS reporting • Experience in implementing or developing ERP systems

Additionally, as a plus: • Experience in Big4, especially with a focus on TMT • Professional qualifications ACCA, CPA, CFA
