We are looking for an experienced Research Engineer to join the LLM team at Tochka Bank. We are building an online bank and an ecosystem of services for businesses. Our team has over 6,000 employees, and our services are used by more than 800,000 clients.
About the Team
We are involved in the development of fundamental models at Tochka Bank, including a corporate large language model (LLM). Our model is used by a wide variety of product and infrastructure teams, so it's important that it is fast and intelligent.
In addition to LLM, we are also developing other platform solutions: from an intelligent search platform (Information Retrieval) to a gateway service that provides access to internal and external LLM providers.
The team consists of people from various roles — we have researchers, developers, analysts, and AI engineers.
What You Will Do
- Make a significant contribution to the research and development (RnD) process of the company's internal LLM — from data to model fine-tuning stages (continual pre-training, post-training).
- Independently train Mixture of Experts models of 200B+ size on a multi-node cluster in a distributed manner: Data Parallel, Expert Parallel, Context Parallel, Pipeline Parallel, and others.
- Contribute to the development of an open-source framework for distributed training.
You Are a Good Fit If You
- Have at least three years of experience as a Research Engineer.
- Have a good understanding of fundamental models.
- Have trained LLMs in a distributed manner with 3D+ parallelism.
- Can debug complex experiments at a low level.
- Write maintainable and reproducible code.
- Can work in a team and transfer your experience to less experienced colleagues.

- Official salary up to 600,000 ₽. The exact amount depends on your skills and expectations — we will discuss them at the interview. This is the gross amount (before taxes). Remember that from 2025, the personal income tax rate will change depending on the total income for the year.
