We are building a routing service for payment systems for a European client. We have been operating stably for 3 years and have doubled in size over the past year. One of the founders has a degree from the Faculty of Computer Science, the team has ~20 people.

Who we are looking for We are looking for the first dedicated infrastructure engineer - a DevOps and network engineer in one person. Currently, a co-founder is handling the entire platform, and you will take over infrastructure: networks and network segmentation, cloud, CI/CD, monitoring, fault tolerance.

Tasks — CDN and domains at scale. Tens of domains, each with its own DNS, TLS, and CDN configuration bundle — a large, constant workload, everything needs to be managed as code. — DDoS protection. Attacks are part of daily life; layered protection is needed at the CDN and application level. — Uptime close to 100%. We work with money, so fault tolerance is the main KPI for the role. — Kubernetes. 5 managed clusters in DigitalOcean, workload isolation through nodes, taints, and namespaces. — Observability. We have Fluent Bit → Elasticsearch, Kibana, Grafana. Bring it to maturity: metrics, tracing, SLO/SLI, alerting without false positives. — Security and IaC from scratch. SSO, PAM, bastion (Teleport), secrets, mTLS. CI/CD is already in GitLab — next, declarative IaC and GitOps.

We expect — 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / infrastructure — Proficient in Linux and networking: TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing, load balancers — Kubernetes in production beyond just 'apply manifest' — Python or Go (or proficient Bash and willingness to write code) — Experience with CI/CD, IaC, monitoring; experience in security/DevSecOps — Independence: you will be the sole infrastructure engineer

We particularly welcome candidates with CDN and WAF experience or from InfoSec departments.
