Yandex Food is a service that connects thousands of clients and restaurants, making the process of ordering and delivering food as convenient and accessible as possible. We operate not only in Russia but also in other countries. Yandex Food users can choose from a variety of establishments and menus, discover new tasty offers, quickly and easily place and pay for orders, and receive food at any convenient time.

The Payments team is responsible for guiding the customer from order placement to awaiting delivery. We strive to create a maximally simple and clear interface while maintaining quality and functional flexibility. Our global goal is to integrate new payment methods on an international level and in Russia. We are responsible for distributing benefits for payments along with fees and delivery.

We are looking for a Backend Developer with experience in C++ or Go to join our team. If you are confident in only one of these languages but want to learn the second one, we will support your growth and development in this direction!

What tasks await you

Development of new and improvement of existing payment methods Yandex Food operates in more than a dozen different countries and regularly launches in new ones. Each of them has unique cashless payment methods from a technology and interaction perspective. To remain competitive, we must be able to work with payment methods familiar to users. In close collaboration with Fintech, we are developing new payment scenarios.

Development of scenarios within Yandex's payment ecosystem As a Yandex service, we are integrated into the overall ecosystem. This includes payment systems such as Yandex Pay and Yandex Split. They are evolving and adding new features — and our team is not standing still either. We actively implement new capabilities in our application and support personal discounts for payment methods.

Work on technical improvement of the 'Footer' You will take on some responsibility for working with the distribution of 'Footer' delivery prices and devise a new architectural solution to reduce Time to Market. We maintain a current technology stack, develop the design system, and pay attention to refactoring and improving the codebase. This allows us to maintain high standards of quality, stability, and application speed.

We expect that you

• Are proficient in Golang or C++
• Have worked with PostgreSQL
• Have developed high-load systems based on microservice architecture
• Have worked with distributed systems
• Have launched projects as a tech lead or are ready to take on such a role
