Team Lead Data Scientist for Customer Service at Crowd
Yandex Crowd is a major infrastructure service of Yandex. We use crowdsourcing to expand business processes: data labeling, content moderation, field research, testing. We also develop internal functions for our products: customer service, telemarketing, localization, and documentation.
One of our goals is to automate customer service using generative chat bots, agents, and co-pilots for operators. Currently, we are working on initiatives with Yandex's largest products: Travel, Yandex Station, Kinopoisk, and others.
We are looking for a team lead for a small team. You will be responsible for promoting bold ideas, understanding the business context, inspiring and guiding the team.
Managing the ML Team You will plan the team's work, hire employees, engage in their mentoring, development, and motivation. Help with breaking down tasks into subtasks, conduct code reviews and architectural reviews, onboard newcomers. Actively participate in shaping a knowledge-sharing culture and promote professional growth, develop DevRel.
Managing ML Projects You will launch and oversee all stages of ML projects: from research and experiments to implementing solutions in production, conducting A/B tests, setting up automatic retraining, and maintaining model quality.
Developing AI Solutions for Customer Service You will create AI solutions for customer service: chat bots and prompts for operators based on YandexGPT, RAG, and agents. Train embeddings, implement rerank models, build intent prediction models, prepare data for training and quality evaluation, as well as create production pipelines and integrate them with Yandex services.
Experimentation with External Technologies You will search for optimal solutions on the market, study modern ML architectures, compare external and internal models by key metrics, and implement best practices. It will also be necessary to set up quality control, create benchmarks and learns for generative models and agent pipelines.
Immersion in Business and Product You will closely interact with the product team, look for new growth opportunities, and implement innovations based on machine learning to develop customer service. You will also participate in shaping the strategy for developing the artificial intelligence direction in the Crowd service.
