Description
App&Web is the unit owner of the global Dodo Pizza application and website. We not only implement significant changes to the customer experience but also develop a customer experience center of expertise, optimizing the hypothesis testing process and launching user research.
Our unit consists of several cross-functional feature teams, each developing its own domain. Each team has all the necessary functions to create a great product: Android, iOS, backend, QA, design, and product analytics.
We are looking for an Android developer for the order checkout team. This team owns the entire flow from address selection to the cart and order creation. Any improvement here directly impacts the number of orders and the average check.
We expect you to:
- Want to build a quality product, not just write code;
- Have a deep understanding of the Android SDK, including the Fragment and Jetpack Compose frameworks;
- Be proficient in Kotlin, including Kotlin Coroutines, and know how to use them effectively;
- Be able to organize layered architecture in an application, understand the MVVM pattern, and know how to effectively modularize the application;
- Be able to decompose tasks and provide realistic estimates;
- Highlight risks in a timely manner and keep the process transparent for the team;
- Deliver features to completion: release, feature toggles, monitoring, effect verification by metrics;
- Be able to work in a team, argue for decisions, and take initiative;
- Plan your work so that QA has time for testing.
It will be a plus if you:
- Write tests (e.g., unit, UI, or screenshot tests);
- Know how to set up CI/CD;
- Understand how to work with feature toggles, A/B tests, and product analytics;
- Use AI tools (Cursor / Copilot / Claude Code) in practice.
Your responsibilities will include
Key tasks:
- Participate in planning and designing new mobile application features;
- Design feature architecture considering scalability, fault tolerance, and monitoring;
- Develop and test features that impact the order checkout experience and key metrics;
- Maintain the reliability of the critical path, promptly resolving incidents;
- Support features after launch: metrics, logging, observability, analytics;
- Participate in code reviews and architectural sessions, work cross-functionally (PO, TL, iOS/Android, backend, design, analytics, QA).
Examples of recent team tasks:
- Redesign of the shopping cart, including product items and collections of recommended products;
- "Share Cart" functionality for group orders;
- Development of a new map screen for working with delivery addresses and pizzerias;
- A series of A/B tests to verify hypotheses and grow metrics.
Future plans:
- Delivery time prediction with compensation for delays;
- Redesign of the map and its elements.

Selection stages
- Interview with a recruiter: We will tell you about the team, role, and tasks. We will learn about your previous work experience and projects. For some vacancies, a phone interview precedes this stage.
- Technical interview: We will assess your hard skills. Sometimes, after this stage, we provide a test assignment.
- Product section: Assessment of product thinking, ability to generate hypotheses, prioritize tasks, and think in terms of business metrics.
- Final interview: Meeting with the potential team lead.
- Offer presentation.
