About the Company

Flant is the leader in the Russian DevOps and Kubernetes market. Since 2008, we have been creating and maintaining infrastructure of any scale. Since 2017, we have been developing Deckhouse products, which simplify the development, delivery, and operation of applications. We also provide consulting on DevOps practices and technologies.

We regularly contribute to the Open Source technologies on which we build our products and are among the top 50 contributors to CNCF projects over the last 10 years. About Deckhouse

At Deckhouse, we develop an ecosystem of products for Cloud Native development and the leading K8s platform in Russia. Our products cover the entire spectrum of infrastructure tasks for engineers at other companies: from managing containerized workloads and convenient application delivery to complex virtualization and observability. They also automate routine developer tasks: helping them store secrets, manage code versions, logs, and solve many other problems.

We are creating the best set of tools for software development, support, and operation. Deckhouse already consists of over 200 components, a significant portion of which are available in the Community version. Here, you will write enterprise features from scratch and develop complex products that must be understandable to the end-user and reliably operate without intervention from Deckhouse engineers, even in a closed environment without internet access. This is not easy, but it is very interesting.

About the Team

Deckhouse Runtime is responsible for developing solutions for managing the lifecycle of modules and resources in Kubernetes, creating tools that ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of the Deckhouse platform.

We develop Kubernetes operators and automate processes in Cloud Native environments, making Kubernetes cluster management simple and effective. Our work is focused on creating innovative solutions that meet modern requirements for cloud platforms. We use cutting-edge Open Source technologies and our own developments to create flexible and powerful tools for managing Kubernetes.

By joining us, you will participate in the development of key platform components, solve complex engineering problems, and grow within a professional team working at the forefront of Kubernetes technology.

Responsibilities

• Define, maintain, and develop Go development standards within the team.
• Define and maintain standards for working with Kubernetes (operators/controllers, CRDs, Helm, Cloud Native patterns).
• Define and maintain infrastructure standards (CI/CD, environments, reliability, operations).
• Be responsible for the architecture and technical quality of the product/components in the area.
• Conduct code reviews.
• Propose new architectural ideas and solutions.
• Analyze complex incidents (including production), participate in root-cause analysis.

Expectations

• Experience programming in Go: confident proficiency, understanding of language idioms and standards.
• Experience working with Kubernetes and the Cloud Native ecosystem: writing operators/controllers, CRDs, Helm.
• Experience working with infrastructure: CI/CD, operations, reliability, performance.
• Experience conducting code reviews and establishing engineering standards.
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs and make decisions under uncertainty, take responsibility for the outcome.
