Responsibilities:

• Participation in software development, implementation, and support projects
• Development of the server-side of PostgreSQL databases: development and support of stored procedures, functions, and packages (if necessary), as well as reports of any complexity. Your task is to create efficient and scalable solutions.
• Writing and optimizing the performance of SQL queries and stored procedures. Your expertise will be focused on identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks.
• Active participation in designing the database structure and selecting optimal solutions, considering the specifics of the subject area and performance requirements.
• Analysis and elimination of problems related to database operation, including performance, availability, and security issues.
• Documentation of developed code and procedures.
• Interaction with other development teams to ensure database integration with other software components.

Requirements:

• Mandatory:

  • At least 2 years of experience with PostgreSQL as a DBA !!!
  • Experience working in the PostgreSQL console.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and experience writing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions in PL/pgSQL.
  • Experience in optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures to improve performance.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data and understanding database scaling principles.
  • Understanding of relational database design principles and data structure optimization.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose database-related problems.
  • Ability to work in a team, effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
  • Responsibility, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

• Desirable (will be a plus):

  • Experience in developing high-load applications working with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with other DBMS, such as Oracle (knowledge of PL/SQL will be a big plus).
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL replication and clustering principles.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) tools for automating database change deployment.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL performance monitoring tools.
