Senior QA Engineer (Unified Communications (UC))

Main development areas: GPON equipment, Ethernet switches, service routers, Wi-Fi equipment, Softswitch, subscriber and digital VoIP gateways, home routers, IP media centers, Smart Home equipment, industrial controllers for IoT, and much more.

We are currently looking for a Lead QA Engineer for the Elph project to ensure product quality and build effective processes within the team.

Elph is a client-server application that allows making and receiving voice calls via the SIP protocol, as well as sending and receiving files, text, and voice messages over mobile internet or Wi-Fi.

What you will do:

• Organize team work: task distribution, bug tracking, collection of testing metrics.
• Interact with developers and DevOps engineers for joint incident analysis, release planning, and stand updates.

Candidate expectations

• 4+ years of experience in testing server/backend solutions.
• 1+ year of experience leading a small team (subgroup/unit of 5-7 engineers): task assignment, testing methodologies, mentoring.
• Understanding of the TCP/IP stack.
• Experience with containerization, virtualization, and orchestration (OpenNebula, Docker, k3s + Helm).
• Python knowledge at a middle+ level.
• Experience working with Linux.

Will be a plus:

• Knowledge of basic principles and types of encryption, what HTTPS and TLS are;
• Experience with monitoring systems;
• Understanding of TDM and VoIP telephony protocols.
