System C++ Developer for Core Components Team

About the team:

The software of an autonomous vehicle consists of a large number of complexly interacting components, limited by the resources of the computing unit and strict timing requirements.

While functional teams implement individual subsystems for vehicle control, we monitor the performance of the entire software as a whole.

Based on our own monitoring and metrics, we help developers identify bottlenecks in the code, maintain, and improve its performance.

What you will do:

• Develop services responsible for collecting application metrics and diagnosing failures;
• Develop backend for visualizing the operation of autonomous vehicles;
• Develop libraries and tools for the core autonomous driving technology;
• Conduct code reviews.

What we expect from the candidate:

• Proficient in C++11;
• 6+ years of commercial development experience (application programming);
• Experience developing applications for OS Linux using system calls and understanding of kernel subsystems (processes, memory, I/O);
• Experience with Jira, Git.

Will be a plus:

• Proficiency in C++17 and experience with Boost;
• Familiarity with Python, ROS 2, and CMake;
• Experience with Docker: creating and optimizing Dockerfiles, managing images and containers;
• Experience with profiling, optimization, and understanding the basics of network communication, starting from the transport layer;
• Familiarity and preference for Test-Driven Development.
