We are the startup Selfwork. We are building a global AI ecosystem for working with freelancers and B2B payments.

We are currently in an active growth phase, which is why we are looking for two Middle Full-stack Engineers for our core teams. During the screening, we will definitely discuss which product you are more interested in driving:

1. 🤖 AI Marketplace (Selfwork): A platform where AI matches clients with freelancers and automatically generates briefs - already in production. The focus here is on frontend, AI assistant integration, and complex UX.

2. 💳 B2B Payroll (Fintech): Our second product for international contractor payments. The focus here is on backend, strict transactions, integrations with payment gateways, and cross-border transfers.

Role Context

You will work in a product team with other developers (we currently have 5 full-stacks), a designer, and a Product Owner. The global architecture and the most complex product solutions are handled by the CTO and Senior engineers; from you, we expect high-quality, independent, and fast delivery of features. No micromanagement, but with high responsibility for your code.

What you will do

• Develop the platform's frontend (React + TypeScript), including PWA.
• Write backend logic (Node.js, Fastify), optimize and refine existing solutions.
• Work with databases and queues (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, NATS).
• Participate in the design of new features together with the product team and CTO.
• Maintain a balance between speed and quality, improve developer experience.

Frontend: React, TypeScript, TanStack Query, Vite, OpenAPI

Backend: Node.js (Fastify), TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, NATS

Infrastructure & Tools: Monorepo (Turbo), GitLab, CI/CD, modern DX tools

What is important to us

• 2–3+ years of commercial experience in Full-stack development;
• Experience working in product teams (NOT in outsourcing);
• Experience working in startups or small teams (including unsuccessful ones - that's okay);
• High independence and responsibility;
• Ability to propose solutions and justify them;
• Flexibility in approaches and absence of dogmatism in methodologies.

Conditions

• Contract with a legal entity in the UAE;
• Income: $2000 - $2,500 / month;
• Fully remote work and flexible schedule;
• Up to 30 days of paid vacation + 15 sick days per year;
