vacancy in Belgrade, working at CHOICEIT. Full-time employment. Remote work is possible.
Skills: SQL, Python, A/B testing, PowerBI, Apache Spark. Qualification: Senior. Specializations: Data Analyst.
We are looking for a Data Analyst for a large technology company that develops products for international markets in the entertainment industry.
In this role, the analyst works not only with ready-made data extraction requests. It is important here to be able to understand the business task, identify what data is actually needed, choose an approach to research, and bring the analysis to conclusions that can be used in making product decisions.
What you will be doing
— developing the system of product and business metrics: defining calculation logic, monitoring data quality, and helping teams use metrics correctly; — understanding tasks where there is no clearly formulated analytical request at the start: clarifying the problem, choosing a methodology, and building a research plan; — conducting A/B tests: assessing the feasibility of the experiment, calculating and analyzing results, and looking for opportunities to increase its business value; — conducting product research, formulating and testing hypotheses; — working with large data volumes using SQL and Python; — finding the reasons for changes in metrics and transforming analysis results into understandable conclusions for the business and product team; — presenting research results and discussing them with stakeholders; — collaborating with Data Engineers on ETL processes and data preparation for analytics; — creating data marts and dashboards in Tableau.
What is important to us
— strong SQL: confident work with complex queries and large data volumes; — proficient Python for data analysis: Pandas, NumPy, SciPy; — good understanding of statistics: statistical tests, correlation and regression analysis, and other methods necessary for product analytics; — practical experience in conducting and analyzing A/B tests; — experience in product research and hypothesis testing; — the ability not just to get numbers, but to understand what lies behind them and why the indicators have changed; — experience with web or mobile analytics; — experience with BI tools, such as Tableau or Power BI; — experience with Spark and Iceberg.
It is also important to be able to independently manage an analytical task: understand an uncertain problem statement, decompose the problem, choose an approach, and clearly explain the results to colleagues from business and product.
Will be a plus
— experience with dbt; — understanding of Airflow and experience with DAGs; — understanding of Data Lake principles; — familiarity with modern data organization approaches, such as Data Mesh.
Conditions
— full-time; — remote work format; — flexible start of the workday; — company equipment; — probation period of 3 months; — extended benefits package after the probation period: health insurance, budget for sports/languages/additional medical coverage, additional paid days off; — internal technical meetings, training, and opportunities to participate in professional conferences and education.
The team's working language is Russian, so fluent spoken Russian is required for the position.
Process
Introduction with a recruiter → short technical screening → SQL session → interview on analytical skills → meeting with the team.
For candidates applying for a Senior level, an additional analytical case is provided after the main technical stages.
