📌Tasks:
- Administration, monitoring, and support of PostgreSQL / Postgres Pro.
- Ensuring high availability of critical databases.
- Participation in planning and execution of DBMS migrations and updates.
- Planning and execution of data backup and recovery (Backup & Recovery).
- Performance monitoring, identification and elimination of bottlenecks.
- Development and maintenance of DB security standards, user access management.
- Scripting for automation of routine tasks.
- Interaction with development teams, assistance in optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Administration and monitoring of integration software: GoldenGate, Dataflot.
🔺Requirements:
- Experience in administering PostgreSQL 12 and above - at least 2 years;
- Understanding of PostgreSQL architecture: processes, shared buffers, WAL;
- Practical experience in building and supporting fault-tolerant PostgreSQL clusters;
- Experience with one or more high availability solutions and technologies: Streaming Replication, Patroni, pgPool-II, Corosync, Pacemaker;
- Experience in configuring and managing physical and logical replication;
- Experience in monitoring and fine-tuning PostgreSQL performance using: EXPLAIN (ANALYZE, BUFFERS) / pg_stat_statements;
- Experience in configuring critical PostgreSQL parameters, including work_mem, shared_buffers, and other performance parameters;
- Knowledge of backup and recovery tools: pg_basebackup/pg_dump / pg_restore / pg_probackup;
- Experience in administering software in Linux: RHEL / CentOS / Ubuntu;
- Knowledge of Bash and/or Python for automation;
- Understanding of network principles: DNS, TCP / IP, Firewalls;
- Experience with monitoring systems: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana.
