DBA for PostgreSQL Team
We are developing internal services for T-Bank. We are looking for an administrator who is ready to maintain the high quality of our cluster databases.
Description
The Databases team is building a platform solution for database management. We are deeply integrated with the IDP development platform, monitoring and alerting platform, data delivery platform, and so on. We are creating a seamless experience for a large number of user scenarios — with a mouse click and a single command.
We offer solutions to users of PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Valkey (Cache aaS), ClickHouse, MSSQL clusters and plan to expand the list of supported databases. Workload for launches is actively growing: by February 2026, this will be over 1,000 commands and 8,000 clusters.
The solutions we develop affect the entire infrastructure: networks, storage, compute resources, databases, applications and configuration management in Golang and Python, integrations, workload management — virtualization and Kubernetes.
Technology Stack:
— Core tools: Go and Python — FastAPI, Celery, Temporal, SQLAlchemy.
— Databases and queues: Postgres, Oracle, Cassandra, ClickHouse, MSSQL, Kafka, Redis.
Responsibilities
- Solve PostgreSQL operational issues
- Improve the stability, fault tolerance, and scalability of the service
- Implement enhancements for platform development
- Participate in large consumer projects on solution architecture changes and stabilization of new systems
- Improve the qualifications of the team and the company in terms of PostgreSQL operation
- Work closely with consumers, development teams, and the Databases team: SRE, SDE, DBA
Requirements
- You have experience in PostgreSQL operation, including troubleshooting, infrastructure support, monitoring mechanisms, and other database-related components
- You have experience using monitoring and visualization systems like Prometheus, Grafana
- You can program in GoLang or Python at a Junior+ level or higher
- You have worked with configuration management systems such as Ansible
- Experience with databases like Cassandra, Clickhouse, Yandex DB and others, data models for various DBMS, with a priority on relational ones, will be a plus
- Experience in building infrastructure architectural solutions, understanding the network stack, Unix systems, and K8s, and experience working with them, will be a plus
