Responsibilities
• Data preparation: extractions from PostgreSQL and POS, cleaning, handling missing values, outliers • Predictive models: guest flow, menu item demand, procurement needs • Domain features: seasonality, holidays, weather, sales history • Validation: time-based splitting, leakage control, business metrics alongside technical ones • Product research: guest segments, average check, churn, promotion effectiveness • Model deployment to production with backend: data contract, inference, quality monitoring • Code review, hypothesis discussion, task planning
Requirements
• Python 3.11+, type annotations • pandas, NumPy: group by, joins, window functions, dates • scikit-learn: pipelines, cross-validation, hyperparameter tuning • Metrics and overfitting: MAE / MAPE, baseline, leakage • SQL: joins, aggregates, window functions • EDA: matplotlib or seaborn • Git, branches, PR, code review • Plus: statsmodels, Prophet, CatBoost, Docker, FastAPI, Airflow, MLflow, LLM and RAG
