PROJECTINVEST LLC is creating a new applied direction at the intersection of engineering design, BIM/CAD, software automation, and artificial intelligence (use of AI agents in design).
Our task is to implement modern technologies into real design processes: improve the quality of design documentation, reduce routine operations, and expand the capabilities of design engineers.
We already have real engineering projects, specialists in the fields of RC (Reinforced Concrete) and ET (Electrical Engineering), accumulated design experience, and tasks for initial development and experiments.
We are looking for a specialist who will help turn engineering tasks into working tools — from automation using Revit and AutoCAD to software solutions and AI agents.
It is not required to be an expert in both RC and ET simultaneously – a solid understanding of one of these areas is sufficient.
Who we are looking for: a specialist at the intersection of AI + engineering design — a person who understands the engineering subject area and wants to professionally develop in the direction of implementing advanced neural network model developments in the field of design.
Responsibilities:
- interact with design engineers and identify opportunities for implementing engineering tasks using built-in Revit or AutoCAD capabilities, standard algorithms, AI models, or a combination of these approaches;
- participate in the decomposition of design into separate, complete, and verifiable functions;
- identify tasks where automation will provide a noticeable effect in terms of quality, speed, or reduction of routine work;
- develop and configure AI agents: prompts, algorithms, code, operating rules, and data transfer between agents;
- connect models and software components to design data and tools via API;
- train and refine agents based on real design solutions, analogs, and accumulated experience;
- document experiment results and prepare recommendations for further system development, not only from a developer's perspective but also from an engineering standpoint;
- observe confidentiality requirements when working with design documentation and external AI services.
We value a specialist at the intersection of technologies and engineering design who can understand the essence of an engineering task and select the appropriate automation method for it.
Mandatory:
- basic specialized engineering education and understanding of design:
- for RC — reinforced concrete structures;
- for ET — electrical engineering, lighting, cable networks/structures;
- ability to professionally communicate with a design engineer and understand the meaning of the task assigned;
- critical thinking: understand what engineering result should be achieved, not just ensure the program code executes;
- interest and practical experience with AI, LLMs, agent systems, programming, or automation;
- ability to explain technical solutions in understandable language;
- mandatory knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD or experience integrating software solutions with CAD/BIM.
Will be an advantage:
Experience with Python, Revit API, Dynamo, AutoLISP, .NET/C#, REST API, developing plugins, or other BIM/CAD automation tools.
Practical experience with LLMs, AI agents, neural network model APIs, structured engineering data, or corporate knowledge bases will also be a plus.
What we offer:
- work with real engineering projects and tasks, not with educational examples;
- constant interaction with experienced design engineers;
- access to design solutions, examples, and the company's accumulated engineering expertise;
- necessary corporate accounts, software, and services;
- the opportunity to independently propose technologies and approaches to solving tasks;
- the opportunity to influence the architecture and development of a new direction;
- the opportunity for professional development simultaneously in engineering design, BIM/CAD automation, and artificial intelligence;
- prospect, as the project develops, to participate in the formation of a separate automation department and team;
- official employment under an employment contract;
- office-based work in St. Petersburg;
- salary level determined by interview results, considering the candidate's experience and competencies.
