Infrastructure is the foundation of all Yandex Cloud services. Our team is responsible for routing traffic between tens of thousands of servers, and the results of our work are used by all public cloud services.

We configure, maintain, and monitor thousands of network devices and grow every year. To make this possible, we are building a system to manage all stages of the network lifecycle. We develop a distributed monitoring system capable of processing hundreds of thousands of metrics per minute, as well as self-healing systems that respond to failures.

Yandex is one of the pioneers in using switches with open Linux-based OS and developing applications for their operation. We closely integrate with other cloud and infrastructure services: with the Yandex global network, Yandex Cloud virtual network, and server and service operations teams.

Our tech stack:

• Python and Go code;
• Asynchronous libraries, REST, gRPC;
• Container deployment in Kubernetes;
• Terraform for describing and maintaining infrastructure.

What tasks await you

• Design, develop, and implement systems for managing network infrastructure
• Develop the network equipment monitoring system
• Write agent applications to run on network equipment

We expect you to

• Be proficient in Python or Go and have experience in product development
• Be ready to dive deep into the specifics of the domain area
• Have experience with containers and Kubernetes

Will be a plus

• Have designed and implemented distributed systems
• Want to understand the structure of computer networks
